Trimicon cream is used for infected eczema treatment in Nairobi Kenya. It is a prescription medication manufactured by Unison Laboratories Co. Ltd. and it is one of the medicines for treatment of eczema with fungal infections.
Composition
It is a cream which contains 2% miconazole and 0.2% triamcinolone acetonide.
Trimicon Cream Uses and Indications
Trimicon contains miconazole and this study found that miconazole was effective for treatment of fungal infections of the skin and nails especially those cause by Candida like cutaneous candidiasis and dermatophytes like Tinea corporis (fungal body infections), Tinea pedis (fungal foot infections), Tinea cruris (jock itch) and Pitryriasis versicolor.
Trimicon cream also contains mometasone and this study found that mometasone was effective for the treatment of atopic dermatitis (eczema), seborrhoeic dermatitis, scalp psoriasis and psoriasis vulgaris.
Consequently, Trimicon cream is used to treat eczema with fungal infections and seborrheic dermatitis.

Trimicon Cream Dose
Trimicon Cream is applied once or twice a day to the affected parts of the body.
Trimicon Cream Side Effects
Side effects of Trimicon Cream include allergic contact dermatitis. Symptoms of allergic contact dermatitis include itchy skin which may have a burning sensation.
Trimicon contains mometasone and side effects of mometasone include dryness of the skin, stinging and burning sensations, folliculitis, acneiform eruptions and skin atrophy.
Precautions
Do not apply it if you are allergic to triamcinolone or miconazole and other azole antifungals like clotrimazole and miconazole.
For external use only. Do not apply to the eyes or mouth.
If skin irritation develops when using it, stop using it and wash the area.
Contraindications
Do not use it if you have hypersensitivity to miconazole or triamcinolone.
Patients with tuberculosis of the skin, chickenpox, herpes simplex, herpes zoster, perioral dermatitis, measles, vaccinia, and syphilitic skin lesions should not use it because of its mometasone content since its application might result in flare-up of the conditions.
