The ingredients of Cosmelite Next include the following:
Silymarin
Silybum Marianum seed extract (Silymarin) is an antioxidant which is more potent than vitamin E. It protects the skin cells from free radical damage by ultraviolet radiation (UVR) and prevents photocarcinogenesis. It also has anti-inflammatory properties. Silymarin prevents melanin production and thus reduces the formation of dark, hyperpigmented spots on the skin. This study found that it was effective for treating melasma.
pTeroWhite
Pterocarpus Marsupium Bark extract (PTeroWhite) lightens the skin by reducing hyperpigmentation. It is also an antioxidant which protects the skin cells from free radical damage. pTeroWhite also has anti-inflammatory properties and skin conditioning properties.
Soybean
Glycin Soja seed extract (Soybean) fights hyperpigmentation in the skin. It also has anti-aging properties as it helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Soybean also reduces the signs of sun damage to the skin.
Vitamin C
Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) reduces hyperpigmentation and has a skin brightening effect. It also boosts collagen production which keeps the skin firm. It is also a potent antioxidant which protects the skin cells from free radical damage.
Kojic Acid
Kojic acid fades skin discoloration because it blocks tyrosine from forming and this prevents melanin production.
Niacinamide
Niacinamide or viamin B3 has skin brightening properties as it diminishes dullness and fades dark spots on the skin. It also reduces enlarged pores. Niacinamide also has anti-aging properties due to its wrinkle smoothening effect. It also strengthens the skin’s barrier by increasing ceramide production.
Mandelic Acid
Mandelic acid is a gentle exfoliant which removes the dead layer on the surface of the skin. This helps fade hyperpigmented patches. This alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) also promotes collagen prodution and has antimicrobial properties. A study found that it reduced the hyperpigmentation of melasma within 4 weeks.

Apply Cosmelite Next to the affected areas and massage it gently into the skin until it is fully absorbed. It should be used twice a day.

Cosmelite should not be applied on broken skin with wounds or burns.
Cosmelite should not be applied to infected skin.
Persons using Cosmelilte Next should also use sunscreen because sun exposure worsens melasma. This should preferably be a broad-spectrum sunscreen that protects the skin from both UVA and UVB rays with SPF 50. This should be combined with wearing protective clothing like long sleeved shirts and trousers and avoiding the sun from 10 am to 4 pm when it is hottest.
