If you have been wondering how you can do a full face facial treatment at home by yourself, know that you have come to the right page since we will teach you the 7 steps of a facial.

The steps of a facial treatment

1.Cleanse

Gently massage the cleanser on your face to remove the dirt and oils and then rinse it off. Use a cleanser that is appropriate for your skin type.

*For oily, acne prone skin you can use Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash

*For dry, mature and normal skin you can use Cerave Hydrating Cleanser

You can buy these cleansers from our Nairobi Almasi Skincare Shop located on Moi Avenue, Sawa Mall, 3rd floor, shop C15. WhatsApp +254 721 963 156 to order for countrywide delivery.

2.Steam

Steam with a Facial Steamer like this one. Steaming increases blood flow to the skin, hydrates it and dilates the pores making extractions easier.

If you don’t have a steamer, put hot water in a bowl, cover your head with a towel and lean over the bowl with your face 7 inches from the hot water for 10 minutes.

3.Exfoliate

Exfoliation removes the dead cells on the surface of the skin which helps the other skincare products penetrate it better. Use an exfoliator that is appropriate for your skin concern.

*For oily, acne prone skin use a BHA or Beta Hydroxy Acid. A good example is Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant.

*For dry, mature and normal skin use a AHA or Alpha Hydroxy Acid. A good example is Naturium 10% Glycolic Acid Resurfacing Gel or Paula’s Choice 8% AHA Gel Exfoliant with glycolic acid.

You can buy these exfoliants from our Nairobi Almasi Skincare Shop located on Moi Avenue, Sawa Mall, 3rd floor, shop C15. WhatsApp +254 721 963 156 to order for countrywide delivery.

Extract (Optional)

Use a comedone extractor for this step. First clean the comedone extractor and then place it on the skin with the hole over the whitehead. Press it downwards into the skin to remove the contents.

You can buy a comedone extractor from our Nairobi Almasi Skincare Shop located on Moi Avenue, Sawa Mall, 3rd floor, shop C15. WhatsApp +254 721 963 156 to order for countrywide delivery.
